Arrowtown Golf Club
The picturesque 18-hole Arrowtown Golf Club opened in 1937 and is the oldest course in the area. Fairways are built around schist rock formations and historic stone cottage ruins can be found amongst towering trees, a legacy of Arrowtown’s pioneers.
Golf at Milbrook
Millbrook Resort (ranked #9) offers two 18-hole championship golf courses named after local prominent Queenstown landmarks – The Remarkables and Coronet. Set in a natural alpine amphitheatre, these courses utilize the dramatic terrain and deliver world-class golf.
The Hills Golf Club
Sir Michael Hill’s private golf course in Arrowtown was designed by Darby Partners and is set over 500 acres of land across a glacial valley. The 6596-meter par 72 championship course (ranked #3) has sculptures crafted by New Zealand artists alongside the course’s lakes, waterways and wetland areas.
New Zealand Open
The New Zealand Open is held annually in Arrowtown, at Millbrook Resort and The Hills and is an iconic event on the New Zealand sporting calendar. This prestigious tournament attracts top golfers from around the world and blends competitive play with breathtaking scenery. Held in a unique Pro-Am format, paying amateurs are paired with professionals in a simultaneous ‘best-ball’ format, making it a must-see event for golf enthusiasts and visitors alike.
