Welcome to Postmasters Kitchen + Bar, a Gastropub on the corner of Arrowtown’s Main Street.

Our Kitchen has something for everyone. Open for Lunch, Snacks + Dinner, our talented chefs have written a menu that caters to all common dietary requirements. We source our produce from local suppliers + even grow lots of herbs in our garden! As an added bonus our fryer is coeliac friendly.

Our extensive range of Beverages will keep you happy + hydrated.

We are proud to present a bespoke list of Central Otago’s finest craft beer, wine + spirits, with a couple of our international favourites!

We have a bespoke cocktail list + of course plenty of non-alcoholic choices from mocktails, smoothies, soft drinks to pots of tea + cups of coffee.

Whatever the occasion, our garden bar has prime views of the historic main street + iconic hillsides. Our hospitality will give you a ‘home away from home’ and we are the perfect venue for couples, families + friends to catch up over some fantastic local produce.

Functions + Events

Our experienced team loves seeing events come to life and can help you create a celebration to remember. Postmasters Kitchen + Bar is available for exclusive hire or as a casual place to meet. We can cater for most size groups and budgets, be it a sit down dinner, cocktail function or family gathering. Our space is a unique and inviting one that can be fully customised for any celebration. The capacity of the venue for an informal seated dinner inside is up to 50 pax and for a standing cocktail event up to 60 pax inside or up to 100 pax including the garden area. Postmasters team of dedicated chefs are more than happy to cater to your unique requirements and specialises in fresh, seasonal and locally sourced NZ produce. We also have a wide range of wine, beer, spirits and cocktails for you to choose from. We are excited to work with you to help create your dream event.
