La Rumbla

La Rumbla opened in 2012 and is the first restaurant from Sam Gruar and his wife Penelope Johnson (PJ). They now have Slow Cuts and Kahwah in the family too. These 2 love Arrowtown 7 are very proud to call this community, home.

Sam & PJ moved back from Spain and created this lively dining experience for everyone to enjoy. Visit La Rumbla and discover the tastes of Spain along with a Latin twist, using both local & international products.

Think bold flavours & enjoy dishes such as ceviche, grilled octopus, house made chorizo all designed to share with friends & family.

La Rumbla has an ever changing wine list, so there is always something to enjoy and awaken your taste buds along with a fun seasonal cocktail list.

Well established in the town, it has been a locals favourite since the doors were opened.
There is an excellent collection of New Zealand art on display, along with a dining bar, seated table area & popular courtyard in the summer.

Bookings are recommended but walk in’s are always welcome.
